Title: Tony Serangkai
Canvas: 8.5x11 Printer Paper
Medium: "F" lead Staedler Pencils, Sakura Micron "05" and "01" Pigma Markers, Adobe Photoshop 7.0
Date: Spring 2004

Tony's based off my actual friend Tony Salbato, also known as Flaming_Duck and/or Dios GX. He's a big PSO fan, so the fortunate might have encountered him there too. Foul-mouthed and angry, I think I transferred him into my webcomic quite well. He was a military commander in the first version of "A 1000 Days Like This", but that was scrapped and he's yet to appear in the second draft. The real Tony's Italian, but his comic version was Indonesian, hence the non-Italian last name.

Title: Hoshi
Canvas: 8.5x11 Printer Paper
Medium: "F" lead Staedler Pencils, Sakura Micron "05" Pigma Markers, Adobe Photoshop 7.0
Date: Autumn 2003

Hoshi is the site mascot for HiDoShi and quite a fun gal to draw. I've done other pieces of her, but I can't find them or I don't like them. I unfortunately created her at a time when my drawing was suffering, but I intend to do her justice some day. This exists only as a digital copy now, but I think it's a dandy.

Title: Geisha Hoochie Kei
Canvas: 8.5x11 Printer Paper
Medium: Faber-Castell Colouring Pencils
Date: Summer 2003

With the unfortunate advent of Dirty Pair Flash, not a lot of my generation knows about the Original Dirty Pair, but in my opinion it was a much finer beast. Kei was the overbearing, hotheaded, bossy, loud-mouth with a pair of the biggest... er.. guns the galaxy had ever seen. I felt the need to slap her in a kimono. This sold 4 copies at CNAnime.

Title: Ghost Gangster Hsien-ko
Canvas: 8.5x11 Printer Paper
Medium: Faber-Castell Colouring Pencils
Date: Summer 2003

This was a cute drawing that sold well at CNAnime. I'm not sure what sparked the mix of Chinese ghost and Chicago-style gangster, but hey, it worked! This sold for $2 a print at CNAnime and I sold off about 8 copies. Happy days indeed.

Title: Bling Bling Cash Money Yuna
Canvas: 8.5x11 Printer Paper
Medium: Faber-Castell Colouring Pencils
Date: Summer 2003

Yuna in one heck of a ghetto outfit. I originally did this piece for CNAnime 2003. It sold quite well. I probably should have charged more ($2 a print was the going rate), but hey, sold 11 copies. I'm happy. I just hate her pants. I have the folds all wrong. Otherwise, this was satisfactory for the time.

Title: Rikku in the Navy
Canvas: 8.5x11 Printer Paper
Medium: Faber-Castell Colouring Pencils
Date: Spring 2003

I don't really know where this outfit came from. I needed to start churning out drawings for the CNAnime convention in 2003 and this is what happened. I think I just wanted to see her in a uniform really, and somehow the navy fit her since it was such a contrast to her personality.

Title: April at the Lockers
Canvas: 8.5x11 Printer Paper
Medium: "F" lead Staedler Pencils, Sakura Micron "05" Pigma Markers, Adobe Photoshop 5.5
Date: Winter 2002

Here's a real oldy. April was a friend's character back when I was roleplaying at Tachibana High School chat. I've kind of lost touch with Rika (her player), but this was my first "real" Photoshop colour project, and I think I did well for the time.
